One person is dead and five others hospitalized after a fiery crash involving 11 vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, early Thursday in El Paso.
The crash occurred around 6 a.m., when a semi-truck crashed into multiple vehicles on North Desert Boulevard, sparking a fire. Wreckage and debris closed all lanes in both directions on Spur 16 at Talbot, North to South Desert at Transmountain Road, and the intersection of Interstate 10.
Emergency crews from the El Paso Fire Department and El Paso Police Department responded. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
